ABOUT THE LABEL...

During the development, each type of the Hungarian Gepard ("Cheetah") Rifle Family received sequential numbers for identification, for example GM1. GM1 means that it is the first model of the Gepárd Rifle Family. Likewise, GM2 means that it is the second type of the rifle family.

When developing Gepárd GM6 model, we had the following ambition concerning the rifle's characteristics:

1. Should be smaller than the previous models
2. Should be lighter than the previous models
3. Should be more concealable than the previous models
4. Should be quicker to use than the previous models
5. Should 'bite' at least as hard as the previous models

That is why the 'big cat' Gepard GM6 was named after the lynx, which is a rare and specially precious 'predator'.
